MINI SEA URCHIN LAMP

Entirely handcrafted in Italy from bamboo, this small sea urchin lamp is densely covered in fine spines, each tipped with a white dot, recalling the sea urchin known as the "monk" urchin. Light escapes through the opening between the spines: upwards when the lamp rests on a table, downwards when it hangs from its transparent cable as a pendant. As the glow filters through, it warms the deep colour of the spines and creates a delicate play of light and shadow. Fitted with either a bulb or a spotlight, chosen at the time of order, it gives a soft, diffused glow or a more intense, defined light.
